State law (Chapter 176 of the Local Government Code) requires the filing of conflict of interest questionnaires by certain individuals and businesses that do business with the El Paso County Hospital District dba R.E. University Medical Center of El Paso.

The questionnaires require disclosures describing certain business and gift giving relationships, if any, the filers may have with Local Government Officials including the members of the El Paso County Hospital District Board of Managers, the President and Chief Executive Officer, and other officers of the Hospital District. A complete listing of the Local Government Officials for University Medical Center of El Paso can be found at the end of this notice.

The law applies to:

  • businesses and individuals who contract with University Medical Center of El Paso
  • businesses and individuals who seek to contract with University Medical Center of El Paso, (regardless of whether a bidder or vendor is awarded the contract), and
  • agents who represent such businesses in their business dealings with University Medical Center of El Paso.
