Our respiratory therapists are trained and skilled for the highest acuity of patient care, working under the direction of a physician to monitor a patient’s condition, administer breathing treatments, and provide ventilatory support.
Some of the conditions commonly treated by University Medical Center of El Paso’s Respiratory Care and Neurodiagnostics department include acute and chronic lung conditions such as, cystic fibrosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma.
