PULL-OPP Program (UMC Associates Only)

UMC believes in investing in our Associates and providing the avenues for them to continue learning and expanding their expertise. The Pursuing Upward Learning & Legacy Opportunity (PULL-OPP) Program was created to support Associates in continuing higher education.

Through the CARES Educational 'PULL-OPP' Program, UMC pays tuition up to $5,000 per year (maximum of $10,000 for two years) for an Associate’s approved degree to fulfill a critical position that needs to be filled.

• If accepted into this program, UMC will cover the cost of tuition for the Associate. The Associate will maintain full-time employment status and compensation during the duration of their schooling while working part-time.

Below is the first graduate from our CARES Educational ‘Pull-Opp’ Program.

                    Jasmery Zamora is the first UMC Associate to graduate through the CARES PULL-OPP Program. She went from being a Certified Nursing Assistant to a Respiratory Therapist, receiving an increased salary and enjoying a new career.

“As a single mom, of course I appreciate the money that comes with my new job, but the greater satisfaction for me is finally having a degree that no one can ever take away.”
